  • An inn where you can enjoy meals in Tamatsukuri Onsen

I'm going to Tamatsukuri Onsen in January. I want to enjoy local ingredients and seafood for dinner. I want to eat as much as I can in the morning, so I would like a buffet-style meal. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Shiraishiya

  • A sumptuous dinner and a varied breakfast Buffet

  • This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) located in Tamatsukuri Onsen, south of Lake Shinji. Women can choose a flower yukata at the flower yukata corner in the lobby. There is also a beautiful indoor bath made of black granite, an open-air bath, and a large bath made entirely of cypress, even to the bottom of the kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using luxurious ingredients such as Shimane Wagyu beef, Oki Matsuba crab, blackthroat seaperch, and white squid. For breakfast, we had a Buffet-style meal of a wide variety of dishes, including the inn's original pancakes served with brown sugar syrup.

  • The exterior and interior of the building have a calming, traditional Japanese atmosphere.

  • If you're in Tamatsukuri Onsen, how about staying at "Shiraishi-ya"? It's a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business for about 300 years. The exterior and interior of the inn have a calming, purely Japanese atmosphere. The hot spring is a natural hot spring with moisturizing effects, and you can relax in the all-cypress bath and the black granite bath. Breakfast is made with local ingredients. The special pancakes and freshly made scrambled eggs were delicious.

  • Full of local ingredients and crab dishes that will leave you completely satisfied

  • For meals, we chose a plan with seafood for dinner and Buffet for breakfast. At this time of year, dinner was full of crab, which was very satisfying. The indoor bath and the open-air bath were spacious and open, and the space was full of Japanese atmosphere.

  • A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) founded 300 years ago

  • The building was decorated with flowers, and we experienced hospitality that warmed our hearts. The hot spring is made entirely of ancient cypress, even down to the bottom of the bathtub. For dinner, we enjoyed kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using Shimane's three major brand ingredients. Breakfast was Buffet, and we ate to our heart's content with a variety of dishes, including homemade pancakes, clam porridge from Lake Shinji, and black squid ink curry.

  • Enjoy Buffet breakfast and a multi-course meal of Okuizumo pork and blackthroat seaperch for dinner.

  • "Shiraishi-ya" in Izumo-Tamazukuri Onsen offers a Buffet style breakfast, and a plan for dinner that includes kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )such as Okuizumo pork tomato hotpot, Izumo soba noodles, and tempura of bamboo shoots and blackthroat seaperch. It's a good inn for those who want to enjoy a meal.
