Winter Zao Onsen couple trip (Dec). Need atmospheric inn w/ private bath?

• It is located very close to Zao Onsen Ski Resort. I could see the slopes from my room. The large natural hot spring bath has an indoor bath and an open-air bath, both of which are spacious. The open-air bath was designed so that the bathtub was under the eaves. At the breakfast Buffet, I had Yamagata cuisine such as Yamagata beef curry and ball konnyaku.

• The water was good, and I recommend Visiting hot springs. The food was delicious, the service was good, and I had a comfortable stay. When I stayed there, they even took me to the ropeway. The staff were all very kind, and it's one of the inns I'd like to visit again.

• I recommend Zao Plaza Hotel. It's located on the side of a mountain, so the scenery is amazing. If you look left from the restaurant, you can see the mountains looming, and if you look right, the view below is overwhelming. Meals are made with local ingredients, and you can even eat Yamagata beef. The bath is made of cypress and is spacious, so you can relax.

• The atmosphere inside the building is nice, so this hotel in Zao is perfect for couples. I think it's the best in Zao in terms of being able to enjoy the hot springs. In addition to the hot springs in the building, we were able to use the independent guest cottages baths and the hot springs at two sister hotels for free. The food was also delicious.

• If you want to enjoy Zao Onsen to the fullest, we recommend this inn located near Zao Sky Cable Kaminodai. There are a wide variety of baths, including private baths. Since it's close to the hot spring town, you can enjoy the atmosphere and hot water of Zao Onsen to the fullest. You can also choose between Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, which is nice.
