  • Enjoy local cuisine! Accommodations in Nozawa Onsen where you can enjoy gourmet food

My family and I are going on a sightseeing trip to Nagano Prefecture. We would like to stay in Nozawa Onsen. If possible, we would like to stay at an inn where we can eat local cuisine and other local delicacies. Are there any places you would recommend?

  • If you are looking for a place to stay in Nozawa Onsen where you can enjoy local cuisine, I recommend this hotel. It is a wonderful hotel with a traditional atmosphere. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms with a traditional atmosphere, so you can relax. The food is delicious, with kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients unique to Shinshu.

  • This is an inn in Nozawa Onsen where you can enjoy local cuisine and other local delicacies.

  • This inn has a refined and retro atmosphere and is located in front of the famous hot spring field in Asagama, a popular spot in Nozawa Onsen. You can enjoy the natural hot spring water, which is colorless and transparent with a faint sulfur scent, in the open-air bath and indoor bath. As for meals, you can eat kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with local seasonal ingredients such as "Koshihikari" rice from Nozawa Onsen. In particular, the "real hot spring egg" boiled fresh every morning in the hot spring source "Asagama" is exquisite.

  • This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Nozawa Onsen.

  • Sumiyoshiya is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Nozawa Onsen. Dinner was made with local ingredients, some of which were rare and I had never tried before, and was very delicious and just the right amount. Breakfast also had a wide variety of dishes, so I was able to fill my stomach before my departure. The food was excellent, from the dishes to the presentation, and it matched the atmosphere of the inn. The bath was also small, but had a unique atmosphere.

  • A dish that combines the local dish "Torimachibachi"

  • Dinner at the inn includes seasonal cuisine, the local Nozawa dish "Torimawashibachi," and the Shinshu specialty "Sakura-zori (horse sashimi)," and you can enjoy a full range of Nozawa gourmet cuisine. Breakfast includes real hot spring eggs boiled in the hot spring water every morning and delicious Shinshu miso soup. Recommended for those who want to fully enjoy both the local flavors and the hot springs.

  • Local cuisine made with local ingredients

  • Sakaya Ryokan (Japanese inn) is a Nozawa Onsen inn where you can enjoy the hot spring waters from its own natural spring source in a large bath that still retains the atmosphere of a hot spring resort, as well as a tasteful open-air bath. It is also ideal for families, with spacious 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms and Japanese and Western room that can accommodate up to eight people. In addition to the hot springs, we are also proud of our meals, which are made with local ingredients and are made with an emphasis on locally produced and locally consumed ingredients, so you can enjoy local cuisine that is unique to this area.

  • A hotel in Nozawa Onsen featured on the TV show "Nama Desu Tabi Salad"

  • This hotel has been featured on TV programs. You can enjoy French cuisine that makes use of local ingredients from Nozawa Onsen. As the owner is a former restaurant chef, the food looks and tastes excellent. You can also enjoy local cuisine such as locally grown additive-free fruit jam and the local delicacy oyaki, or take some home as a souvenir. The guest rooms are furnished with furniture that exudes the warmth of wood, creating a relaxing atmosphere that reflects the owner's attention to detail. It can accommodate up to four people, so it seems like a good choice for family trips.

Oyado Fubuki

  • A small inn where you can enjoy fresh fish dishes and local cuisine

  • This Ryokan (Japanese inn) (minshuku) serves locally caught river fish. They are proud of their fresh fish dishes such as salmon and trout, as well as local cuisine. In fact, this inn runs a fish farm, so you can enjoy freshly caught fish all year round. It is a short walk from the center of Nozawa Onsen, and is a small minshuku that is also used by skiers. It is by no means luxurious, with only Japanese-style rooms and Japanese and Western room, but it is spacious and perfect for families. This inn offers warm, family-like hospitality and is a delight.
