  • Yufuin Hotel
  • We are going on a trip to Yufuin with our family of three in the winter. Are there any inns that have private baths for families?

I'd like to go to the hot springs of Yufuin with my family in the winter. Are there any hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) with family baths that are okay for families with small children?

Yufuin Hotel

1414 Yufuinchokawakami

  • A homely hideaway

  • Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the main street of Yufuin, it is a quiet inn with a hideaway atmosphere. The food is delicious in the old-style thatched-roof building, and we were able to relax when we stayed there with our family. It is on the affordable side of YufuinOnsen, so I think it will be fine on a budget. There is a main building and a new building, so you should consider your budget and the availability of rooms.

  • It's ok to have small children

  • Although it is a little independent guest cottages from JR Yufuin Station (it takes about 8 minutes by bus), how about "Hoteiya"? There is a main building and an annex. It is a traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) with hot springs, and it has a few independent guest cottages rooms, so it is an inn that places importance on hospitality. It has an atmosphere like a hidden village.

  • A hot spring inn with a main building and a traditional Japanese-style independent guest cottages

  • This is a hideaway inn located just off the main street of Yufuin in Oita Prefecture. In addition to the main building, there is a traditional Japanese-style independent guest cottages house available for rent, so even families with small children can stay here without worry. You can refresh yourself after your trip in the private bath.

Yamanohotel Musouen

1243 Yufuinchokawaminami

  • There is a large open-air bath with a view and a independent guest cottages lodging facility.

  • Last year, we stayed here with my wife's parents, my family (married couple and wife, children ages 4 and 3), and my wife's younger brother on a three-generation family trip. In addition to the large open-air bath with a view that can fit about 100 people, there are several open-air baths, indoor baths, and private family baths that you can use freely. The food was also very delicious, and there are also independent guest cottages rooms, so we were able to relax without worrying about the people around us.

  • The open-air bath is the best

  • I went to the hot springs on a day trip. The calm atmosphere of the building and grounds, and the large open-air bath with a view of Mt. Yufu right in front of you are very nice. The water looks mystical and blue, perhaps because it is reflecting the sun. I was able to forget all the daily troubles and immerse myself in another world. The staff were also very friendly. There is also a family bath, so you can relax without worrying about the people around you.

  • This is a family-friendly hotel in Yufuin.

  • We recommend the family-friendly Yamano Hotel Musouen in Yufuin Onsen. It's a popular inn for families, so you can stay here without worrying about bringing children. There is also a hot spring just for families. The view from the open-air bath is amazing, and it's a hotel that the whole family can enjoy.

  • You can enjoy hot springs within your budget

  • The Japanese-style rooms are spacious and have tatami mats, so we recommend this one, as even children will not have to worry about falling over. You can relax and enjoy the view of nature from the veranda, and the view of the vast Mount Yufu from the bath is Breathtaking view, making it a perfect place to make memories. We also recommend meals for children.

Yufuin Iyotomi

848, Yufuincho Kawaminami

  • Enjoy a private bath with your family

  • The hot spring has three types of private baths, so the whole family can enjoy it. The food is filling and the chicken dishes are delicious. It is a quiet hot spring inn, close to the center of Yufuin. You will want to go back again. The price is also reasonable.

Pension Chokankyo

3283-1 Kawakami, Yufuin-cho, Yufu-shi

  • A comfortable pension with a private family bath

  • This guesthouse is located about 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot from Yufuin Station. There is a private family bath, so even families with children can relax. It is a relaxing guesthouse, so you can spend the whole day without any worries. It is also a very homey guesthouse, and the price is relatively cheap.
