  • The closest historic hot spring inn to Itsukushima Shrine

  • We recommend Arimoto, a long-established hot spring inn at Itsukushima Shrine. The historic Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) building is wonderful, but the food is also amazing. You can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine at this hotel. We highly recommend the dinner, which is made with plenty of seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, such as sea bream, conger eel, swordfish, and oysters, delivered by local fishermen every morning. Of course, you should also try the local Hiroshima sake!

  • Hotels near Hiroshima's major tourist attractions

  • "WeBase Hiroshima" offers accommodations starting from around 7,000 yen per person with breakfast included. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major tourist sites such as the Atomic Bomb Dome, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and Hiroshima Castle. There are also restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which makes it convenient. The rooms are compact but clean, and the breakfast was a delicious set of Western food and coffee. This hotel is recommended as a base for sightseeing in Hiroshima.

  • 10 minute walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome

  • How about Hotel Hokke Club Hiroshima? You can stay here for about 8,000 yen, including breakfast. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Atomic Bomb Dome. It's a little independent guest cottages from Hiroshima Station, about a 10-minute taxi ride away, but it's close to tourist attractions, so it's a recommended hotel to use as a base for sightseeing. The hotel has a large public bath with artificial hot spring water, so you can relax and soothe your travel fatigue.

23-1 Motoujina-machi, Minami-ku

  • It's a hotel with a nice view.

  • I recommend the Grand Prince Hiroshima. It's a wonderful hotel where you can comfortably enjoy the scenery around the Seto Inland Sea. It's convenient to get to Miyajima easily by high-speed boat that departs from the pier in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is clean and easy to use, and there is a hot spring, so you can also enjoy the autumn flavors of Hiroshima. I would like to recommend it as an attractive choice.

  • Hotel located near downtown but on a quiet street

  • The hotel is located in front of a main street, a little independent guest cottages from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. It is close to the Atomic Bomb Dome and can be reached on foot. There is also a station just a short walk away that can be reached by a single tram from Hiroshima Station.

  • If you are looking for a convenient place to stay when touring the tourist attractions around Itsukushima Shrine, why not try Miyajima Seaside Hotel? Located on the seafront of Miyajima, it is recommended as a base for sightseeing on Miyajima. There is also a free shuttle from Miyajima Port to the hotel, making it easily accessible.

  • If you're going to Miyajima in the fall, we recommend Momijidani Park!

  • If you go to Miyajima in the fall, we recommend visiting Momijidani Park to see the autumn leaves! It is located behind Itsukushima Shrine, but it is a historic spot for viewing autumn leaves. If you are looking for a place to stay, how about the nearby Iwaso Ryokan? The entrance is a historic hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) built in 1882 (Meiji 25). The main building, a wooden building from the early Showa period, is nice, but we especially recommend the "independent guest cottages" built using traditional Japanese architectural methods from the Taisho to Showa periods.

  • Located in the city center, close to Peace Memorial Park

  • The hotel is located between Hondori Station and Fukuromachi Station, so it is easy to get to both stations. The facilities are a little old, but the location is great. It is easy to go to the Peace Memorial Park, as well as shopping and dining, and the prices are very reasonable, so I recommend it.

  • Take a look at the islands of the Seto Inland Sea

  • The first recommended accommodation is the Aki Grand Hotel, located opposite Itsukushima Shrine. It is Ryokan (Japanese inn) with hot springs. Aside from the shrine, the recommended tourist spot on Itsukushima is the view of the islands of Setouchi from the top of the mountain. The view of Setouchi is also written about in the Hyakunin Isshu.

  • Convenient hotel near Hiroshima Station

  • A convenient hotel within walking distance of Hiroshima Station. It is also cheap and reliable. The rooms are business-style. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms, making it convenient for business. The breakfast Buffet is free, but it has a wide variety of dishes and is a good deal. There are traditional Hiroshima dishes, Japanese food, and Western food to choose from. Recently, many hotels have been trying to differentiate themselves with their breakfasts, and I am happy to see that the quality has improved.
