We recommend Hatcho-no-Yu Ryokan. This is a recommended hotel for those who want to enjoy hiking in nature and experience the four seasons of Japan, with waterfalls and suspension bridges in the surrounding area. The open-air Ryokan (Japanese inn) is of course filled with hot spring water, but you can enjoy the view of the flowing waterfall surrounded by trees. There are three Mixed-Gender Hot Springs baths, and we hope you will enjoy each one, but there are also designated bathing times for women only. The view of the waterfall from the baths built into the cliffs right next to it is spectacular!

木造の3階建ての温泉旅館です。細長い温泉を2つに分けてあり、西の河原源泉と万代源泉の違いが簡単に体感できます。食事は、全11種類の懐石料理です。山菜のうるいとりんごの白和え、本マグロのお造り、鮑の踊り焼きなどが美味しかったです。

It is a 3-minute walk from the nearest station, Kinugawa Koen Station, so it is recommended as it can be reached even without a car. There are various types of rooms, including rooms with a panoramic view of the Kinugawa River and rooms with open-air baths. You can fully enjoy the Japanese atmosphere. There are three types of hot springs: a large bath, an open-air bath, and a private family bath. The large bath has a large window from which you can soak in the water while looking out at the nature of the Kinugawa River. The open-air bath feels like a hidden hot spring surrounded by nature. Meals are Japanese kaiseki cuisine with local seasonal ingredients. If you contact them in advance, they will take care of allergies as much as possible.

This inn has a homey feel, surrounded by nature and with a small number of guest rooms. The bathtub in the large communal bath is not very large, but the natural beauty spreads out before your eyes and you can enjoy the quiet environment. There is also a private open-air bath with a sofa room, so it was the perfect place to relax in private. There is also an affiliated hotel about a minute's walk away, and you can also use the large public bath there, so you can enjoy Visiting hot springs in different baths. By the way, this open-air bath was spacious. The dining area is a semi-private room, and the main course is a kaiseki meal featuring seafood unique to Yugawara. The famous soy milk sleet hotpot was also delicious. It is also in a good location as it is close to tourist attractions.

少し年季が入っているが、良い宿だ

草津温泉はどこも源泉かけ流しの温泉をひいているが、このホテルの泉質も例に漏れず良かった。建物は少し年季が入っているが、建物の古さが気にならず安く泊まりたい人ならおすすめだ。自分が宿泊した時は夕食は会席料理、朝食はバイキングだった。朝食は草津から近い地域のヨーグルトなどが並んでいた。
