Hotel Monterey Kyoto

We stayed here for two nights on a family trip over New Year's last year. It is located in Karasuma-Sanjo in downtown Kyoto, and is close to both the Karasuma Line and the Tozai Line subways. There is also a large natural hot spring bath on the top floor of the hotel, which is a paid service, so you can relax there. It was also relatively affordable.

The beautiful interior, themed around Scotland, makes you feel like you're overseas, even though you're in Kyoto. It's a great base for exploring Kyoto, and you can also enjoy your stay at the hotel, so it's recommended for family trips.

Higashiyama, where Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located, can be reached by city bus, so it's a good idea to look for a hotel around Karasuma Station. This hotel is clean and safe for women. If you book early, you can get a good deal. The rooms are equipped with air purifiers, so you can relax comfortably. There is also a hot spring available for an additional fee, so it's a good idea to check it out.

The beds are Simmons so you can get a good night's sleep, and there's a spa on the top floor, so it's a great place to relax on tired feet.
