  • The handmade soba is delicious

  • Both dinner and breakfast at this inn were delicious and the portions were generous, so I was very satisfied. This inn is famous for soba, so I was able to eat soba for both dinner and breakfast, which was great for me as a soba lover. The rooms were clean, and I could see the waterfall from the window, so it was very relaxing. The open-air bath was just the right temperature, so I was able to relax while listening to the sound of the waterfall. The air was clear, and I was soothed by looking up at the night sky. I also enjoyed the atmospheric hot spring town, which was about a five-minute walk away.

  • An inn that boasts delicious cuisine

  • Many of the rooms have impressive large windows from which you can see the view of the Ginzan mountains. In winter, snow falls on the silver mine, making it very impressive. The kaiseki cuisine, which combines seasonal and traditional Yamagata ingredients, is very delicious. The breakfast is also packed with seasonal ingredients from Ginzan, so you're sure to be satisfied. There is a shuttle bus to the nearest Oishida Station, so it is easy to access.

  • A hidden inn where you can eat delicious soba noodles

  • This is a hidden inn located on a hill in Ginzan Onsen. It is surrounded by mountains, so the view from the open-air bath is amazing! The food is delicious original cuisine that is unique to Yamagata, and you can also enjoy delicious soba noodles that are freshly ground, made, and boiled. You can see nature from the window, so you can feel the four seasons of Japan. I think it's Ryokan (Japanese inn) that you'll want to return to again and again in different seasons. The staff are also very polite.

  • The open-air bath where you can enjoy the snowy scenery is the best

  • Many people may think of Ginzan Onsen as a place for snowy scenery, so I would like to introduce this inn that is recommended for winter. The open-air bath here is wonderful in any season, but I think it is especially Breathtaking view in winter. The scenery is surrounded by mountains, and in the cold season, snow piles up beautifully. The lights, which look like bamboo crafts, are placed around the bath, which gives it a very tasteful feel. If you don't like the cold, you can also view the mountains from the indoor bath. The food is a sophisticated kaiseki meal, which allows you to fully enjoy seasonal ingredients from Yamagata. If you don't have any allergies, I would also recommend trying the inn's proud handmade soba noodles.

  • Cuisine that allows you to fully enjoy the cuisine of Yamagata Prefecture, a treasure trove of ingredients.

  • Yamagata Prefecture is a region where you can enjoy the flavors, and there is a wide variety of delicacies such as soba noodles as well as fruits. (I like meat soba noodles) This inn is proud of its cuisine that focuses on such Yamagata ingredients. First of all, you should definitely try the authentic handmade soba noodles. Many regions focus on soba noodles, but Yamagata Prefecture is characterized by its noodles with a satisfying texture. Depending on the access method, there are always soba restaurants in train stations and airports in Japan, so it is recommended to try and compare them. Of course, wagyu beef is also a must. The breakfast is a Japanese set meal, so if you want to enjoy Japanese food to the fullest, this is the place to stay.

  • A hot spring inn surrounded by mountains

  • Located in Ginzan Onsen, Yamagata Prefecture, this inn exudes history and elegance dating back to the Taisho era. Built on high ground, you can enjoy the hot springs in the open-air bath while taking in the beautiful scenery of the mountains in all four seasons. The homemade handmade soba noodles are made using buckwheat flour from the local Obanazawa area, and are a masterpiece that can be enjoyed "freshly ground, freshly made, and freshly boiled." You can also enjoy creative course meals and dishes made with local ingredients, which are sure to soothe your mind and body.

  • An inn where you can enjoy an open-air bath with a view and handmade soba noodles

  • You can choose a plan with two meals included for less than 30,000 yen per person. The view from the open-air observation bath is amazing, and you can enjoy Ginzan Onsen while watching the waterfall. Since the scenery is surrounded by mountains, you should be able to see a beautiful snowy landscape if there is any snow left. The windows in the rooms are large, so you can enjoy a wonderful view as well as the bath. For meals, you can enjoy local Japanese beef, vegetables, river fish, etc., but the most distinctive feature is that you can eat freshly made handmade soba noodles. If you don't have any allergies, this is a place I would definitely recommend for family trips.

  • A lodging with a great view located on a hilltop in Ginzan Onsen

  • If you are visiting Ginzan Onsen, why not try Takimikan? This inn is located on a hilltop in Ginzan Onsen and offers a great view. The hot spring has a large public bath and two types of open-air baths with a view, so you can bathe while looking out at the natural mountains and the hot spring town. If it is within your budget, there is a plan that includes two meals, where you can enjoy a dinner of carefully prepared Satoyama kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using seasonal ingredients from Yamagata. We recommend the homemade hand-made soba noodles, which are a specialty of the inn.

  • This inn has a wonderful open-air bath!

  • "Takimikan, a Waterfall and Buckwheat Inn" has a wonderful open-air bath where you can bathe while watching the waterfall flowing below. For meals, you can taste Yamagata's brand rice "Tsuyahime". You can enjoy a Japanese meal of seafood and mountain produce, and handmade soba noodles made with local buckwheat flour before dinner. This is an inn where you can stop by on your way back from skiing in Yamagata and slowly warm up your cold body with a delicious meal.

  • Enjoy nature and the starry sky

  • From the open-air bath at this inn, you can enjoy the greenery during the day and the starry sky at night, allowing you to relax and enjoy the hot springs. The food is a kaiseki course made with local ingredients. They also serve handmade soba noodles, which are fragrant and delicious with a smooth texture. There are several meal plans available, so I went for the steak tasting. It was a luxurious meal that meat lovers could enjoy, as I could enjoy Hanazawa beef and Yamagata beef at the same time. It was delicious, with a melting softness. The mountain view spreads out from the rooms, allowing you to relax and unwind.

  • We recommend the luxurious plan where you can enjoy Obanazawa beef and abalone.

  • Ryokan (Japanese inn) serves delicious original kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with locally grown vegetables, mountain delicacies, and fresh seafood from Shonai. They also serve homemade hand-made soba noodles. There is also a luxurious plan where you can enjoy Obanazawa beef and abalone. The inn is built on a hilltop above Ginzan Onsen, so you can enjoy a great view of the mountains from all the rooms. The views from the large communal bath and open-air bath are also amazing. Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the center of Ginzan Onsen town, there is a free shuttle service to the hot spring town at night, so you can experience the atmosphere of a Showa-era hot spring town.
