  • Family trip to Naruko Onsen! A hot spring inn with buffet-style meals

I would like to go to Naruko Onsen in Miyagi Prefecture. Is there a recommended inn? We are traveling as a family of four. A buffet dinner would be good.

Naruko Hotel

36 Yumoto, Naruko Onsen, Osaki-shi

  • An inn with beauty-enhancing hot springs and a delicious Buffet

  • Located in Naruko Onsen in Miyagi Prefecture, this hot spring inn is the perfect place for a family trip. The viscous hot spring water, which is said to have skin-beautifying effects, is famous for changing color over time. Dinner is a "Michinoku Buffet" using carefully selected ingredients from Tohoku, and you can enjoy the live feeling of the food being cooked right in front of you. From the rooms with foot baths, you can spend a relaxing time while looking out at the mountain village scenery. It is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from JR Naruko Onsen Station, and parking is free. This inn is perfect for a family of four.

  • Basho-no-yu, Tama-no-yu, and various open-air baths, as well as breakfast and dinner Buffet!

  • There are two large baths, Basho-no-yu and Tama-no-yu. The former changes color depending on the time of day and temperature. In addition to the large open-air bath, there is the Aodaishi open-air bath, the Takanomaki tub open-air bath, and the private Kokako-no-yu bath (for a fee). The large bath can accommodate about 15 people, but costs 2,200 yen for 50 minutes for up to 4 people. Meals are served as a breakfast and dinner Buffet, and as dinner is called Buffet, there is a wide variety of local dishes made with local ingredients, and many dishes that are hard to find anywhere else. In the morning, there is a Japanese and Western Buffet with delicious food that is mindful of your health.

  • Enjoy local cuisine made with local ingredients

  • This is a long-established hotel that was founded in 1873. The hotel has three private hot springs, and the water is abundant and has skin-beautifying properties. You can relax in the large public bath or open-air bath. It's also interesting that the color of the hot spring changes depending on the time and temperature. The food is served Buffet style with about 50 types of Japanese, Western and Chinese food, and it was very delicious.

  • It was Buffet where you could enjoy local flavors.

  • Buffet at this inn was lined with local dishes made with locally grown wild plants, mushrooms, and other local vegetables. Everything was delicious and tasty. There was a wide variety of desserts, and the zunda mochi was also delicious. As we had children with us, we used the private bath. We were surprised at how luxurious the bathtub was, and it was as long as a swimming pool. The view from the room was great, and we were able to relax as a family.

  • Enjoy Buffet of country cuisine for dinner

  • The luxurious atmosphere makes it easy for families to spend time in, and the Japanese-style rooms are spacious, ranging from 10 to 12 tatami mats. Food is served Buffet style, with many rustic dishes made with plenty of local ingredients. The hot spring facilities are spacious and well-constructed, and there is also an open-air bath with a tatami floor that gives a sense of openness.

  • A reasonably priced hotel with great hot springs and delicious food

  • Both breakfast and dinner are Buffet. The Michinoku Buffet is a proud all-you-can-eat buffet that uses a wide variety of local ingredients and serves elaborate dishes. The hot spring water is viscous, almost like a beauty serum. You can enjoy the change in color from brown to green. This is one of the long-established hotels in the area, and I think it is a luxurious yet casual hotel.
