• It's rare to find a hotel with a sauna in Nozawa Onsen, but Ryokan (Japanese inn) Sakaya has a sauna and a cold bath next to the open-air bath. You can leave the sauna, enter the cold bath, return to the open-air bath, sauna and cold bath in a smooth flow that will completely tone up your flabby body. Just relaxing in the large public bath and gazing at the construction techniques of the palace carpenters in the bathtub will take you into a nostalgic world. The meal was a Japanese banquet with a focus on local dishes according to the season, and we enjoyed Shinshu soba, Nozawana and local sake.

This Ryokan (Japanese inn) is a 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Station, and is conveniently located for Visiting hot springs. In spring, you can enjoy a pleasant Visiting hot springs in a yukata and geta.
