Ibusuki Iwasaki Hotel is a great place to enjoy the hot springs and the ocean view. There is also a sand bath inside the hotel, and after the sand bath, it feels great to take a bath in the open-air bath overlooking the ocean. It's especially good to take a bath while watching the sunrise. The food is also pretty good, so it's a hotel the whole family can enjoy.

I'm a local. This inn has a sand bath, free shochu tasting, and a Genroku bath, which are fun for both adults and children. If you have the time and transportation, I recommend the sand Sunamushi Onsen (Steam Sand Bath) at Yamakawa Fushimi Beach, which is a truly natural hot spring that has been around for a long time. If you go a little further, you can also visit Japan's only tourist seahorse farm, the Seahorse House, and Kamafuta Shrine, which are also interesting.

Ibusuki Royal Hotel does not have a sand bath on site, but they provide a free shuttle bus to a place where sand baths are available, so it wasn't a problem. The large public bath and open-air bath in the hotel had good quality water and a nice view. We also enjoyed the delicious shochu and Satsuma Kuroge Wagyu steak, as well as other dishes made with local ingredients.

There is a sand bath, a specialty of Ibusuki. The venue is very spacious, and you can sweat it out while enjoying the open feeling. Afterwards, you can feel even more refreshed in the open-air bath, which is also full of a sense of freedom, and you can immerse yourself in the best mood. The meal is a half-Buffet, with a mini kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）and a wide variety of Buffet, so the whole family can enjoy it. Because it is a vacation village, the accommodation fee is cheap, and there are also interactive programs that children will enjoy.

指宿温泉に行くには鹿児島空港から直通のバスが出ています。少し時間はかかりますが、迷うことなく現地に着きます。名物の天然砂蒸し風呂は、海岸の砂浜にあります。砂をかぶるユニークな入浴ですが、体が砂で汚れても気持ちよく洗うことのでき施設が近くにありますので安心です。さて、いぶすき秀水園は、プロが選ぶ日本の旅館100選で料理部門30年以上で連続1位獲得と言われている老舗の旅館です。私もこの宿に2泊しましたが料理は感動モノでした。少々高めの料金設定ですが、一生の思い出となること間違いなしです。
