There is a World Heritage Site on the way to the hotel, and one of the attractions is being able to see various places from Lake Chuzenji to Senjogahara by climbing Irohazaka. The inn is built in a grove overlooking Lake Yunoko, and it is nice to stroll around the area. The rooms are calming, clean, and reasonably priced. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath. It is a high-quality, historic hot spring that draws water from the source of Nikko Yumoto Onsen, which opened in the Nara period.

As the hotel name suggests, flowers were blooming everywhere. I went there at the end of December, and the snowy scenery from the bath was quite nice, and the hot spring was very gentle and warm. It is conveniently located near the Yumoto bus stop. If you are driving your own car, there is always snow in Nikko, so don't forget to bring chains and be careful not to slip.

It takes about an hour and 20 minutes by train from Nikko Station, but it's a great hotel, so it's definitely worth considering. If you go by car in the winter, you'll need to use snow tires and bring tire chains as you'll be driving through mountain roads.
