  • Experience Oga Onsen and Namahage

  • I recommend Oga, home to the "Namahage" traditional event in Akita Prefecture. The hotel offers a free shuttle from JR Oga Station, but it requires a reservation in advance and runs a limited number of times. There are also shared taxis available. I stayed in a room facing the ocean. The view of the Sea of Japan stretched out from the window, and was amazing. The food was mainly fish dishes, but there was a performance of hot stone cooking that was fun. The local sake was also delicious. The hot spring had cloudy water and was very pleasant. You can't see the ocean from the open-air bath, but it is surrounded by a Japanese garden and there is also a tub bath.

  • 秋田県の温泉といえば男鹿温泉が有名です。雪深い場所です。おすすめのホテルは「別邸つばき」です。近海で取れた新鮮な魚介類をふんだんに使用した海鮮料理が食べられます。露天風呂は広くて熱すぎずゆっくりと浸かれました。内湯と露天風呂で温泉の泉質が違ってました。

  • Besides the hot springs, it was nice to spend time in the lobby lounge.

  • 建物は古いがリニューアルされて中は綺麗です。ロビーラウンジには囲炉裏があって、男鹿の海や世界自然遺産の白神山地を眺めながらゆっくりとフリーでコーヒーをいただきました。音楽も流れていて、至福の時間が過ごせました。部屋も広くて日本海が見えてリラックスできました。温泉は海は見えなかったですが、庭園が見えて雰囲気が良かったです。ホテルの近くでは、重要無形民俗文化財の男鹿の「なまはげ」を学べる施設があります。

  • 冬の秋田名物「なまはげ」が体験できる男鹿温泉。小学生の娘にも怖さと珍しさで大好評でした。冬に体験するとさらに雰囲気が増しそうです。ホテルはきれいで大きな建物です。ラウンジも広くて囲炉裏を中心にいろんな椅子が並べられています。好きな椅子に座ってそこにあるフリードリンク片手にくつろげます。お風呂も和風の雰囲気たっぷりで、雪が積もったらもっと味わい深い温泉になると思います。料理も出来立ての秋田名物がたくさん味わえてとてもおいしかったです。朝食もちょっとした夕食のように豪華でした。

  • 秋田の男鹿半島は今頃は波の花が盛んに見れる時期。男鹿温泉がおすすめです。広々としていて素敵なホテルでした。ロビーラウンジの雰囲気が良かったです。日本海に面していて部屋から海を眺め景色がとても綺麗でした。日の出も見れて感動しました。お風呂は日本庭園に囲まれた露天風呂があり癒されました。夕食は男鹿近海の魚介を中心とした和食料理で、郷土料理もあり美味しかったです。お酒も秋田のお酒の飲み比べがあって色々楽しめました。朝食はバイキング式の和食でした。

  • The food is delicious and the events are fun.

  • At a nearby facility, there is a Namahage drum event at night. It is close to the hotel, but there is a shuttle bus, so it is convenient. There is also a Namahage experience center, so it is a good idea to stay here and visit it. My daughter, who is in the third grade of elementary school, cried, though.

  • Highly recommended hotel and food

  • I just stayed there the other day. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms, lobby and baths have a nice atmosphere. The food is all-you-can-eat rice, soup and freshly fried tempura. Oga is quite secluded, but there are plenty of events such as night drumming and shamisen at the aquarium and museum, which I enjoyed.
