  • This is a high-class hotel with a classy feel even in Tamatsukuri Onsen, and I especially recommend the purely Japanese-style rooms, which overlook the well-maintained courtyard and are very relaxing. My fondest memory of staying here is how friendly and helpful the staff were. It's located on the outskirts of the hot spring town, close to Tamatsukuri Shrine, so it's relatively quiet and comfortable. There are open-air baths with waterfalls and ones overlooking the bamboo forest, which gives it a very atmospheric feel. It's a long-established, high-class hotel.

They offer in-room dining for dinner (may vary by season), and the food, including crab, was plentiful and delicious. The bathhouse is spacious, and the open-air bath overlooking a bamboo grove was incredibly comfortable. The location is also great; it's close to the Tamatsukuri-yu Shrine, so you can easily walk around and sightsee.

  • Yamanoi is a relatively inexpensive inn in Tamazukuri Onsen. However, it is still a good value for money inn. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the baths and indoor baths were great. The open-air bath felt so good that I ended up staying in it for a long time. I ordered dinner in my room, and even though it was a little late, the food was brought out at the perfect time, and even though I ordered drinks multiple times, they were brought quickly. The portions were so large that I couldn't finish them, so I was very satisfied.
