  • Enjoy Complimentary Drinks at the Post-Bath Relaxation Lounge!

  • This ryokan boasts six private, in-house hot spring sources, giving it one of the most abundant hot spring flows in Japan! A special feature is its huge mixed-gender outdoor bath (Rotenburo), which is so big it feels like a pond, offering a truly liberating experience. The open-air baths attached to the guest rooms also use pure, free-flowing spring water (Gensen Kakenagashi), allowing you to fully enjoy the famous "beauty hot spring" in a private setting. They even have a spot where you can enjoy a foot bath (Ashiyu) while gazing at the beautiful garden—you should definitely give it a try!

  • This is a long-established hot spring inn that was founded over 300 years ago.

  • The manners and work attitude of the employees are outstanding. But that's not all. There are two large baths: "Hikoboshi" made entirely of cypress, and "Orihime" made of black granite. Each has a large indoor bath, a rock-built open-air bath, and a sauna. The hotel is committed to using only locally produced food. This includes not only the ingredients, but also condiments such as soy sauce, salt, and miso, fresh local vegetables, and eggs. That's why the Shimane Wagyu beef, Matsuba crab, blackthroat seaperch, white squid, and Lake Shinjishishi clams are all excellent.

  • A sumptuous dinner and a varied breakfast Buffet

  • This luxurious ryokan is located in Tamatsukuri Onsen, on the southern shore of Lake Shinji. As a special touch, female guests are invited to choose a beautiful floral yukata upon arrival. The bathing experience is exquisite, featuring a chic indoor bath of black granite, a spacious open-air bath, and a grand bath made entirely of fragrant hinoki cypress. Dinner was a gourmet kaiseki course, a parade of premium local ingredients such as Shimane Wagyu beef, Oki Matsuba crab, and the prized Nodoguro fish. The indulgence continues at breakfast: a lavish buffet with a wide variety of dishes, including the inn's signature pancakes with a special brown sugar syrup.

  • The hot springs were amazing, definitely worth a visit!

  • I stayed here in the cold month of December. The staff were very hospitable and I had a very enjoyable time. The open-air hot spring was clean and deep, so I was able to soak in it thoroughly. The quality of the spring water was also good. I stayed here on a budget, but I was more than satisfied with the price.
