If you are looking for a family trip to Konpira Onsen, I recommend "Kotohira-kaku." It's one of the largest ryokans in the Konpira Onsen area, and the facilities are extremely comprehensive. If you stay in the standard "Sansuikan" wing, you should be able to find a buffet plan that fits your budget of around 15,000 yen. The buffet has many items that kids love, like steak, sushi, and tempura, so the whole family enjoyed it. The baths are also very spacious. The garden-style open-air bath was very pleasant, offering a great sense of openness. It's highly recommended if you are traveling with children.

If you're visiting Dogo onsen(hot spring), I highly recommend Chaharu! It's close to the main building of Dogo onsen(hot spring), so you won't get cold even in winter. There's also an open-air bath on the rooftop, so even though it's on the rooftop, you can enjoy onsen(hot spring) surrounded by nature while admiring the seasonal flowers. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）that combines Japanese and Western cuisine using ingredients from Ehime Prefecture and the Seto Inland Sea, which is really cute! Even with meals included, you can stay for around 13,000 yen, including breakfast and dinner, so it's actually quite cheap! This hotel is recommended for trips with partner or a girls' trip!

"Kobaitei" is an inn I would definitely recommend for families who love onsen. True to its reputation as a "Yumoto" (the original source of the spring), it actually boasts two different types of hot spring water. The sheer number of baths is impressive, featuring a total of 15 different bathing spots, including the garden open-air bath "Hana Terrace" and the large public bath "Hana Sumika." You don't even need to leave the premises to visit other baths; you can enjoy a full day of "Yu-meguri" (onsen hopping) right inside this ryokan.

For those who want to enjoy onsen(hot spring) with a spectacular view, we recommend Kotohira Kadan. From the observation bath, you can get a panoramic view of the Sanuki Plain and the beautiful Mount Sanuki Fuji standing in the middle of it. A private open-air bath is also available, allowing you to relax both body and mind in a private space.

"Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranosho" is perfectly located right on the main approach (Omotesando) to Kotohira-gu Shrine. The location is outstanding. The open-air baths (rotenburo) here are fantastic, too. From the men's bath, you can actually see the Omon Gate (Great Gate) of the shrine. It's the perfect way to soothe your tired muscles after the long climb, all while enjoying the view. If you choose a standard plan, there are many dates available for around 15,000 yen. For what you get, I think it offers excellent value (good "cospa").

If you want a special experience at Dogo onsen(hot spring), head to Yamatoya Honten. This lovely and stylish hotel has undergone renovations while preserving the traditions of a long-established establishment. One unique feature of this hotel is that it has a Noh stage within the building, where authentic Noh performances are regularly held. What's more, guests can wear white tabi socks, step onto the stage, and have their photo taken, an experience that even Japanese people rarely get to have! While the accommodation fee is a bit high for a luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn), there are Japanese-style rooms that can accommodate up to five people, so it's cheaper if you're traveling as a group.

How about Dogo-kan? It’s a hotel where you can really savor the atmosphere of a traditional ryokan and relax in a beautiful Japanese-style room. You can experience sleeping on a futon on the tatami (straw mat) floor, or if you prefer a bed, they offer Japanese-Modern Twin rooms. The hotel also features a Teahouse (Chashitsu), and guests in the special rooms can enjoy a complimentary bowl of matcha (green tea) there on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Both the large communal bath and the open-air bath (Rotenburo) use the natural hot spring water; the open-air bath, in particular, offers a fantastic, natural setting. If you're looking for a special experience, Dogo-kan is a great recommendation!

If you are looking for a Japanese-style hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Dogo Onsen that will please your foreign friends, how about this inn? Dinner here is a Japanese kaiseki meal centered on seafood and vegetables from the Seto Inland Sea. The hot spring is a hypotonic, weakly alkaline spring, which is said to be effective for joint pain and neuralgia. Highly recommended.

When you enter the hotel, there is an 11-story atrium, which is very beautiful and instagrammable worthy. The elevator is also see-through, so the view from inside the building is also good. There is an open-air observation bath and a large bath where you can see the city of Matsuyama and the mountains, and you can take a relaxing bath while looking at the starry sky.

If you want to take instagrammable, we recommend the Dogo Prince Hotel. They have stylish rooms, including those with open-air baths and Japanese-modern rooms. The meals are also colorful and delicious. The area around the hotel is also very atmospheric, so it's nice to stroll around in a colorful yukata and visit some photogenic spots.

This hotel offers a rock sauna for two and a rental service for colorful yukata. The open-air bath and indoor bath are spacious and the location is great, so it was very relaxing. There was also a multi-course meal plan that focused on Ehime's local cuisine. Please enjoy your trip to Ehime to the fullest.

Located just an 8-minute walk from Takamatsu Station in an area with many business hotels, you'll find plenty of restaurants and udon shops nearby. While parking costs ¥800 per night, the room rates are incredibly affordable: around ¥7,000 for single occupancy and about ¥5,000 per person for double occupancy! Plus, breakfast is included, offering fantastic value for money! As part of the Toyoko Inn chain, you can expect consistent quality. If you want to save on accommodation and spend more on your udon pilgrimage or other sightseeing, this is definitely the place to stay!

For meals, we enjoyed creative cuisine that used many ingredients from Kagawa. For hot springs, we were able to enjoy the natural hot springs from the open-air bath on the rooftop while looking out over the hot spring town.

This hotel, which is about a 20-minute drive from the Shimanto River, is very beautiful both inside and out. The amenities are plentiful, and the hotel staff were very kind. The large public bath is a hot spring, which was very relaxing and helped to soothe my body tired from driving. The food, which was also prepared with an awareness of the four seasons, was so delicious that it was almost a shame to eat it. Also, if you go to the Shimanto River, be sure to take a ride on a houseboat. The view of the Shimanto River from the boat is exceptional.

Not only is it ideally located right in front of Takamatsu Station, but there are also many udon restaurants nearby, so you'll have plenty of dining options. The hotel even has underground parking, making it a great base for exploring. You can reach areas like Kotohira-gu Shrine (Konpira-san) by car in about an hour. Takamatsu Castle is right nearby, and Ritsurin Garden is also easily accessible. Whether you're traveling solo or with family, this hotel caters to all, offering everything from single rooms to Japanese-style rooms that can accommodate up to five people.

Many areas within the building are covered with tatami mats, and you can feel the warmth of traditional Japanese culture from the moment you pass through the entrance. It's a comfortable and convenient inn with a great location and onsen(hot spring).

I recommend "Tsutsui" on Ikuchijima Island near Onomichi. I hope you can imagine a traditional Ryokan (Japanese inn). There is a small port nearby, so you can feel the atmosphere of Setouchi. For meals, a wide variety of fresh Setouchi seafood is served.

This is an inn with a large public bath, and the interior is very stylish with an English design. The rooms are Western-style, but the wallpaper has a cute atmosphere. We had delicious French food with wine, and had an elegant stay. There is a glass art museum on the premises, so we were able to casually enjoy art. The breakfast was also delicious, and we were very satisfied with the inn.
