Matsunoyu Hotel

This is a very fine, long-established inn that offers a variety of plans, including one night with breakfast and one night without meals. You can also stay alone with the two-meal plan. The amenities are top-notch, making this an inn perfect for women traveling. The open-air garden bath, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful Japanese garden, is wonderful. The spring waters of Tamatsukuri Onsen are perfect for smooth, Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty) skin.

You can enjoy the view from both the indoor and outdoor baths. There is an additional 200 yen charge for rental of bath towels only. For lunch, you can enjoy clam and Japanese beef hotpot, blackthroat seaperch, crab rice, and more. There is a limit to the number of people allowed in the large bath, so there is no need to worry about crowding. There is also a shuttle service from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station and a free parking lot that can accommodate 100 cars.

How about "Matsunoyu"? There is a free shuttle from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station, so it is convenient. You can relax while looking at the Japanese garden from the large bath. The sulfate spring water has a skin-beautifying effect. For meals, you can enjoy a kaiseki meal using seasonal ingredients from Shimane, and you can eat seafood from the Sea of Japan.

This is a long-established luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) that was founded in 1885 in Tamatsukuri Onsen. The panoramic suite with an open-air bath on the top 6th floor is a luxurious room. You can also enjoy the hot springs in four private open-air baths and the large bath "Gekko-no-yu" where sunlight pours in through the skylight. As for the food, you can eat kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）that makes use of local ingredients such as mozuku seaweed and Shimane wagyu beef from Shimane Prefecture. The "Koshihikari" rice from Shimane Prefecture that is used in the cooking is particularly delicious.

At Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Tamatsukuri Onsen, you can enjoy gourmet food made with seasonal ingredients from Shimane. There are plenty of Shimane-style flavors, such as beef hotpot made with broth made from the local specialty, shijimi clams, and shijimi porridge. There is also a rental service for colorful yukata, which is convenient and recommended for walking around town after bathing.

This place offers a day trip hot spring + lunch plan. For meals, you can eat a Japanese banquet using seasonal local ingredients. The hot spring is a "sulfate spring" that has moisturizing effects, and you can enjoy it in the large public bath "Gekkei no Yu". I highly recommend it.

「松乃湯」には日帰りプランがあり、露天風呂、ジャグジー、サウナを備えた広々とした大浴場を日帰り利用できます。玉造の美肌の湯がたっぷり楽しめますよ。４つの貸切露天風呂もあり、追加料金で日帰り利用が可能です。昼食には美味しい会席料理がいただけます。玉造温泉街の中心に位置する旅館で、玉造温泉駅から無料の送迎もあります。

There is a breakfast Buffet with about 50 kinds of Japanese and Western dishes. The food was healthy and made with lots of local ingredients. The miso soup and porridge made with clams, a specialty of Lake Shinji, were especially delicious.

When I visited Izumo Taisha Shrine, I stayed at Matsunoyu. My wife, my parents, and I were taken care of by four people. First of all, the food was delicious, with an appetizer of five kinds of sake dishes, whole sea bream sashimi, and wagyu steak, and just looking at the dishes was fun. There was a large public bath and a private open-air bath, and it was a very relaxing space where you could relax. There was also a spacious tea lounge and salon, and they also offer yukata rental services and bicycle rentals.

We highly recommend this inn, as it serves meals that make use of seasonal Izumo ingredients. Dinner is a Japanese banquet that allows you to taste the seasons. A total of 11 dishes are served, rich in the flavors of the seasons, making use of local specialties. You can enjoy local specialties such as a platter of three kinds of seafood from the Sea of Japan, grilled yellowtail, duck meatball stew, snow crab shoulder, and Shimane Prefecture koshihikari rice. Of course, you can also enjoy the hot springs, which are good for your skin. There are a large public bath, an open-air bath, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. There are also four types of private baths, so you can enjoy the Tamatsukuri hot springs exclusively with your friends.

This is an inn where you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine made with plenty of seafood from the Sea of Japan, such as blackthroat seaperch and crab. The blackthroat seaperch is grilled with salt to make it even juicier. Another recommended point is that you can enjoy Izumo soba, a local specialty.

How about a hot spring trip in a modern Japanese-style room? Equipped with chandelier-style lighting, this non-smoking room has a modern design that blends Japanese and Western styles. There are large public baths, open-air baths, jacuzzis, and saunas for both men and women. There are also four types of private open-air baths (fee required): "wood," "rock," "ceramic," and "bottle." They are also popular as family baths and can be used for 50 minutes. Reservations for the private open-air baths are accepted in the order of check-in, so make your reservation early. There are various shows held, so you can enjoy them during your stay.

This Ryokan (Japanese inn) has a long history, having been in business for 130 years. It has been renovated so it doesn't feel that old, but the rooms and baths are furnished with the atmosphere you'd expect from a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn). The open-air baths, in particular, are made of rocks and cypress for men and women, allowing you to enjoy a soothing bathing experience.

The natural hot spring here is a sulfate spring, which is said to have anti-aging properties. I remember my skin feeling very smooth and moisturized after bathing! The large public baths each include a rotenburo (outdoor bath), a jacuzzi, and a sauna, all offering a relaxing view of the traditional Japanese garden. Furthermore, they have four different private open-air baths (Kashikiri Rotenburo) that you can reserve, each with a different ambiance. The waiting area is spacious with plenty of chairs, so you can wait comfortably. The food was also delicious and very generous in portion size. The area just outside the ryokan feels like a traditional onsen town, which made for a fun sightseeing stroll!

The weekday rates are very reasonable. The Japanese-style rooms and the large hot spring baths are spacious, so you can relax and enjoy your stay. The food is not extensive, but it is of high quality. It is full of Japanese atmosphere. I recommend taking the express bus to Izumo Taisha Shrine via Izumo Airport, which departs from right next to the inn.

There is also a spring water pump where you can spray yourself with hot spring water. Sprays are also sold unmanned. Matsu no Yu is a ryokan (Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) located right in front of the foot bath on the riverbank, with reasonable prices and a relaxing atmosphere.
