If you want to stay elegantly in Kinosaki Onsen town, we recommend "Shogetsutei", and if you want to stay light and alone, we recommend this Ryokan (Japanese inn) "Suigo". It is an easy-to-use inn that specializes in accommodation only, so it is the best inn to use for a casual solo trip. It is within walking distance from the station, but they will also provide a shuttle if you contact them. Using this inn as a base for Visiting hot springs is very comfortable. It is also very cost-effective, so it is recommended for solo travelers.

You can soak leisurely in the hot spring while gazing out at the garden. The inn itself has a very calm, settled atmosphere, so you'll feel completely comfortable staying there alone. If you choose the 'breakfast only' plan, I think you'll find that it often fits within your budget. It's definitely worth checking out.

For a solo male traveler (like myself), quietly reading a book or soaking in the onsen within this timeless building is the ultimate luxury. I think it's perfectly suited for those who appreciate a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere.

Since it is a business hotel, the accommodation fee is reasonable. The large public bath on the 4th floor has an indoor bath with hot spring water from Shinan-nami Onsen. The restaurant is open during dinner time, so you can include breakfast in the accommodation plan and order dinner separately at the restaurant. There are various menus for Japanese kaiseki and meat dishes.

This is a hidden hot spring inn located upstream of the pure Shimanto River. It is convenient for sightseeing in the area, such as fishing for sweetfish in the Shimanto River and firefly hunting. You can also enjoy the hot spring in the open-air bath and large bath, where you can enjoy the fresh greenery in spring and bath to view the snow in winter. As for meals, you can eat kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with local ingredients such as Shimanto eel, Shimanto Japanese black beef, and Shimanto pork.

If you are in the Skytree area, I recommend Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Oshiage. It is located right in front of the Skytree. The nearest station is a 1-minute walk from Oshiage Station on the subway, and a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Skytree Station on the Tobu Line. I stayed here the day before climbing the Skytree, and I was in a good mood because I could see about the lower half of the Skytree from my room. The bathroom was spacious, which is unimaginable for a business hotel, and I felt that it was a premier hotel.

If you're a man traveling solo and looking for a true "adult hideaway," "Kobayashiya" is a perfect fit. This ryokan is located right in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen's famous willow-lined street. It's right next to the famous 'Ichi no Yu' public bathhouse, making it a prime location for strolling through the onsen town. The building itself is a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property and full of charm, but the interior has been renovated and has a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Since it has only a few guest rooms, it doesn't have the hustle and bustle you find at a large hotel. I highly recommend it, both for its location and its atmosphere.
