  • A independent guest cottages hot spring inn with only 10 rooms on a vast site of approximately 7,000m2

  • This hot spring inn has only 10 rooms on a vast site of about 7,000 square meters. It is located in a quiet rural area overlooking Mt. Yufu, and you can spend a relaxing time in privacy in the independent guest cottages building. Not only do all rooms have a half-open-air bath with running water, but you can also enjoy a bath in a private family bath. For dinner, you can enjoy beautiful original kaiseki cuisine made with local seasonal flavors. I think this is the perfect Ryokan (Japanese inn) to show your parents your gratitude.

  • The hot spring has Breathtaking view! After your bath, enjoy some traditional pudding.

  • I've been there a few times, both for driving from Fukuoka and for day trips. (It's a luxury hotel, so it's hard to stay there!) The open-air bath is very spacious, and the mountains spread out in front of you, Breathtaking view! After the bath, I recommend the traditional pudding at Cafe BanBan. It's a firm pudding that you could eat in cafes during the Showa era, and I go there just for that. The interior is Japanese-style, with a warm wooden feel. The meals use seasonal Japanese ingredients, so I think parents will be happy too.

All five baths in the inn can be rented for private use, so you can enjoy the natural hot spring water directly from the source in a private space. The dinner is also excellent, featuring steak, Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot), and sukiyaki made with local Bungo beef, as well as an abundance of local seasonal ingredients.

  • A hideaway inn surrounded by nature

  • This inn is located in an environment surrounded by the great outdoors of Yufuin, and is recommended for those who want to spend some relaxing time. It is built in the style of an old Japanese house, and has a warm and stylish design. There are several types of rooms, so you can choose the one that suits your taste. We stayed in a room on the first floor of independent guest cottages. It is a single room of 10 tatami mats, but it has a veranda, so it feels open. The room has an open-air bath, so we were able to enjoy the hot springs at our leisure while looking at the night sky and blue sky. We were very satisfied with the food, including the Kuroge Wagyu beef steak, which is unique to Kyushu. The grounds are very large, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

The food is all of a high quality, from Japanese, Western, and Chinese to sweets, so you will be very satisfied. It is a hotel like a theme park.

  • Rooms at independent guest cottages with open-air bath

  • My friend and I stayed at this hotel. All rooms are independent guest cottages and each room has an open-air bath with free-flowing spring water, and there is also a private hinoki bath. The rooms were clean and the meals were hearty and very satisfying. The price is inexpensive for what you get, about 14,000 yen per person per night on a weekday in early November when I stayed. The customer service was also courteous. Overall, I was highly satisfied with this inn, and it left a lasting impression on me.
