If you are traveling to Kagoshima, I recommend "Ibusuki Shusuien." There are foot baths and sand foot baths where you can soak while looking at the garden, as well as a gallery and a shop, and many other services are available within the building. There is a fee for the hot springs, but the private baths were very nice. The scent and atmosphere of the cypress bath was particularly soothing. The food includes seafood caught in the waters off Kagoshima and a kaiseki dinner of the famous black pork shabu-shabu. Of course, you can also enjoy delicious shochu.

I went to Yakushima 10 years ago. It is the largest hotel in Yakushima and has a 33,000m2 garden. When you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a huge Yakusugi tree that reaches up to the second floor. I don't know if it's still there, but when I went to Yakusugi Land by bus, I was surprised that the guests of Iwasaki Hotel were allowed to board even when it wasn't a bus stop, and when we came across a deer in the mountains on the way, the bus stopped and we had time to take photos. It was a wonderful trip.

Ibusuki Iwasaki Hotel is a great place to enjoy the hot springs and the ocean view. There is also a sand bath inside the hotel, and after the sand bath, it feels great to take a bath in the open-air bath overlooking the ocean. It's especially good to take a bath while watching the sunrise. The food is also pretty good, so it's a hotel the whole family can enjoy.

Unfortunately, there are no accommodations that offer free shuttle buses to Kagoshima Chuo Station. To get to Ibusuki Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station, please take the local train. At Kyuka Mura, not only can you enjoy the free-flowing Ibusuki hot spring water from the large indoor bath and the open-air bath with a view of Kinko Bay up close, but you can also enjoy a sand bath (990 yen per use). There is also a private semi-open-air bath. For dinner, you can choose your main dish and then enjoy a half-buffet style meal, so you can eat lots of local cuisine. For breakfast, there is a buffet with sweets and fruit, which gets you excited starting off with a healthy tropical breakfast.

Ibusuki Onsen Koran no Yu Kinkoro will surely meet your needs. The large public bath offers a great view of Kinko Bay. There is also an open-air bath in the garden. Reservations are required. The open-air bath is a little small, but it is very tasteful and you can relax in it. There is a shochu bar in the hotel, so parents and children can have a great time sipping on potato shochu and a variety of other fine sakes.

Although it is not an extremely cheap hotel, I recommend JR Hotel Yakushima. The appeal of this hotel is the spectacular ocean Breathtaking view. Since it is built on the tip of a cape, you can enjoy a panoramic view. The rooms and the building are well-maintained and clean. It is a 40-minute bus ride from Yakushima Airport, and a 25-minute bus ride from Awa Port, so you can get there without a car.

If you are looking for a hotel where you can stay without having to drive, we recommend Seaside Hotel Yakushima. It is located very close to the port, so you can walk there. The rooms and the building are well-maintained and clean. The hotel also has a large public bath, a cafe, and a shop, making it a very well-equipped hotel.

If you're interested in Sakurajima, you should definitely check out the SHIROYAMA HOTEL kagoshima. The hotel is perched on a small hill called Shiroyama, giving you an exclusive panorama of Kagoshima city and the majestic Sakurajima.
