The hotel is a mix of Japanese and Western styles, and the view from the open-air bath is of the majestic Mt. Yotei, and there is a pond right in front of you, so it feels open and wonderful. The food was buffet style, but there was a wide variety, and ingredients from Hokkaido were also used. The view outside was great, so I was able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. There were many foreign guests as well.

北海道なら十勝がおすすめです。雪が上質だし、ここのリゾートホテルからはスキー場にすぐ行けます。スキーとスノーボードを満喫しました。ホテルの目の前にリフト乗り場があるし、ゲレンデへのシャトルバスもあってとても便利です。レンタルスキーもできますので、身軽で行けます。スキー用具のロッカールームもいっぱいあって便利です。ホテル内は広々としたお風呂と部屋も快適でした。食事も北海道ブッフェを満喫できました。

料理自慢の宿だけあって、標準の懐石料理でも、地元食材の海の幸で豪華な舟盛が出る。朝の和食膳も創作郷土料理でご飯の進むおかずが多くてご飯が止まらない。檜の貸切露天風呂には大きくは無いが、ゆっくりと落ち着いて入れる。雪景色を見るのであれば、個人的には箱根の方が良いだろう、と思うが。熱海では中々雪景色を見ることはできない。

定山渓川のほとりにあるこちらの宿は、雪灯路2025が開催されるスポット周辺の宿です。和風建築の旅館なので日本観光としてもぴったりですし、古木に包まれた露天風呂など、館内にはこだわりの詰まった空間がたくさんあります。最初に触れた雪灯路2025というイベントは、雪深い定山渓神社を舞台にしたインスタレーションイベントで、日本らしい温かみのあるライトアップを楽しめるウィンターイベントですよ。

日光鬼怒川温泉の渓流沿いにある温泉のある旅館で、お部屋からの眺めも良くておすすめです。露天風呂つきのお部屋もあります。幻想的な内風呂に加え、露天風呂もあり、鬼怒川の名湯を楽しめます。お食事には鮎の塩焼きや鹿肉など、地元ならではの味覚を楽しめました。雪の時期には山々に降りしきる雪化粧を眺められ、景色が良いです。
