Water is not added or heated, but only the large indoor bath uses a circulator for hygienic reasons.

I recommend Lake Suwa in Nagano Prefecture. There are many sake breweries around Lake Suwa. You can also enjoy Kami-Suwa Onsen and Shinshu's local cuisine.
