I've been there a few times, both for driving from Fukuoka and for day trips. (It's a luxury hotel, so it's hard to stay there!) The open-air bath is very spacious, and the mountains spread out in front of you, Breathtaking view! After the bath, I recommend the traditional pudding at Cafe BanBan. It's a firm pudding that you could eat in cafes during the Showa era, and I go there just for that. The interior is Japanese-style, with a warm wooden feel. The meals use seasonal Japanese ingredients, so I think parents will be happy too.

This inn is located in an environment surrounded by the great outdoors of Yufuin, and is recommended for those who want to spend some relaxing time. It is built in the style of an old Japanese house, and has a warm and stylish design. There are several types of rooms, so you can choose the one that suits your taste. We stayed in a room on the first floor of independent guest cottages. It is a single room of 10 tatami mats, but it has a veranda, so it feels open. The room has an open-air bath, so we were able to enjoy the hot springs at our leisure while looking at the night sky and blue sky. We were very satisfied with the food, including the Kuroge Wagyu beef steak, which is unique to Kyushu. The grounds are very large, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll.

当宿だと、落ち着いた和室で一泊二食出来る。夕食はおおいた和牛の溶岩焼きと、地元野菜や豊後水道の海鮮のお造り等を使った懐石料理を食べられる。朝は、温泉粥も有る和定食を食べられる。当宿の風呂は、９０℃以上有る源泉を由布岳横の湧水で割り、その温泉を内風呂と露天風呂、貸切風呂に引き込んでいる。内風呂は２４時間入れる。

この宿の１１室は、全室離れタイプです。４つの貸し切り露天風呂になっております。全室違った雰囲気でどのお部屋にしようか悩んでしまいます。料理は旬の地元野菜をメインに使用した目でも楽しめる料理が自慢です。チェックアウトも１１時と少しゆっくり目なので、ゆったり過ごすことができるかと思います。

The hospitality from the moment we arrived at the inn was excellent. Our guest room was a detached building, but our supervisor, Nakai-san, provided attentive service until we left. What impressed me was that he reflected our preferences, learned from a casual conversation, in the breakfast the next day. There are three rooms, each with open-air bath and an indoor bath. This is an inn where you can forget about time and spend your time whenever you like without worrying about being seen by others.

The Yufuin Onsen Baien has a private open-air bath, the largest in Yufuin. You can relax there. The lovely shared open-air bath with a view of Mt. Yufu and the calm indoor bath are also wonderful, so you can enjoy the hot springs at your leisure. This inn also offers colorful yukata rentals, which is great for women. I think your girlfriend will be happy.

別府温泉ですと、「千成」をお勧めします。1日8組限定の特別感のある旅館です。場所は駅から近く便利な立地です。お風呂は源泉かけ流しで、こぢんまりした露天風呂がございますが雰囲気がとても良いです。食事は関アジや豊後牛とプランがありますので、お好みでお選びいただけます。

My friend and I stayed at this hotel. All rooms are independent guest cottages and each room has an open-air bath with free-flowing spring water, and there is also a private hinoki bath. The rooms were clean and the meals were hearty and very satisfying. The price is inexpensive for what you get, about 14,000 yen per person per night on a weekday in early November when I stayed. The customer service was also courteous. Overall, I was highly satisfied with this inn, and it left a lasting impression on me.

こちらは高級温泉地である湯布院でも、比較的リーズナブルな料金で泊まれます。全室から由布岳が見られ心が和みます。お風呂は湯治場のような渋い内風呂と、大きな岩を使った露天風呂があり、湯布院の名湯を堪能出来ます。お食事は期間限定ですが、ふぐずくしプランがあり、ふぐ刺し、ふぐ鍋、唐揚げ、〆のふぐ雑炊などフグを満喫出来ます。

亀の井ホテルは如何でしょうか。海外からのお客様も多いので言語対応は大丈夫です。場所はＪＲ別府駅から徒歩4分程度にあります。お風呂は広々した大浴場と露天風呂があり、単純温泉は疲労回復への効能があります。食事はレストランで別府の郷土料理を頂けます。

The Japanese-style rooms are spacious and have tatami mats, so we recommend this one, as even children will not have to worry about falling over. You can relax and enjoy the view of nature from the veranda, and the view of the vast Mount Yufu from the bath is Breathtaking view, making it a perfect place to make memories. We also recommend meals for children.

Located on the shores of Lake Kinrin, with an area of approximately 33,000 square meters, it is one of the three great inns in Yufuin. Kamenoi Besso is famous as a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that is the envy of hot spring enthusiasts. You are sure to feel refreshed in the midst of nature, and you can enjoy seasonal kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）and relax in the large public bath with a great view. The food is carefully prepared and tasteful, with each dish left an impression. I have stayed here for work, and Yufuin is one of Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a high repeat rate.
