You'll feel at ease knowing the hotel is just a 30-second walk from Izumoshi Station, so there's no chance of getting lost, even on a first-time solo trip. The bus stop for Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine is right in front, making it the perfect base for sightseeing. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. I especially loved the spacious and spotless bathroom; it was so relaxing. Another huge plus for female travelers is the amenity bar in the lobby, stocked with things like makeup remover and skin toner. It's a really nice touch!

From the rooms on the higher floors, you can see the night view of the hot spring town and the mountains of Gero. I think it would be a great atmosphere for couples to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The hot springs, known as "Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty)," make your skin smooth and silky, which is great for women. You can also enjoy the night view of the hot spring town from the open-air observation bath, so you can relax in it. Dinner is a buffet with all-you-can-eat Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine, including churrasco, sushi, tempura, and local dishes, and it is very satisfying.

I highly recommend the Super Hotel, especially for solo female travelers. Upon check-in, you get to choose five complimentary amenities, including skincare items, and you can even pick a pillow that's just right for you. Another fantastic perk is the free breakfast buffet, where you can enjoy an organic salad bar and shijimi-jiru (miso soup with local shijimi clams), a Shimane specialty. They also provide a discount voucher for "Lamp no Yu," a nearby day-trip onsen (hot spring), so you can soak in a spacious bath and relieve your travel fatigue.

I would like to recommend Suimeikan. Dinner was not Buffet, but a Japanese-Western fusion banquet using fresh ingredients from Tobida, but there was a lot of food on the menu and I was full. Breakfast was a Japanese-Western Buffet, and the menu was also rich. There are several baths, but the large observation bath was impressive as it offered a night view of the city of Gero.

This hotel's location is unbeatable—it's right in front of you as you step out of the North Exit of JR Izumoshi Station. The rates are very reasonable, making it a perfect choice for travelers looking to save on accommodation costs. And even though it's affordable, it's part of a famous national hotel chain, so you can count on it being spotlessly clean. It’s also a lovely touch that the front desk gives female guests a complimentary skincare set with items like toner and makeup remover.

The appeal of Dai-ichi Takimotokan's hot springs goes beyond the sheer variety of its baths. Right in front of the open-air bath lies the rugged landscape of Jigokudani ("Hell Valley"), the source of Noboribetsu's famous onsen water. The billowing steam and the distinct aroma of sulfur create a powerful and immersive hot spring experience. Soaking in the onsen while gazing at the stark mountainside by day and the magically illuminated valley by night offers a rustic, secluded bathing adventure unlike any other.

We recommend Oedo Onsen Monogatari Onsen Hotel Shinko, which is close to Mars Yamanashi Winery and Chateau Mercian Katsunuma Winery, a pioneer of Japanese wine.

The hotel is located in a quiet area on the top of Mt. Take, about 20 minutes by shuttle from Tondabayashi Station. It has good access to the city center and offers a beautiful view. There is also a hot spring, so you can relax after your trip. The one-night stay with two meals plan is recommended as it is safe and convenient. The Japanese-style rooms match the beautiful view, which is nice.

This is a private inn with an ocean view from every room, overlooking the Tsugaru Strait. We were able to relax in the Japanese-style room with a wide veranda on the Tsugaru Strait side. We were also able to enjoy the natural hot springs with the Tsugaru Strait right in front of us in the open-air bath and large bath while overlooking the Hokkaido mountains. For dinner, kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）using local seasonal ingredients, including seafood from the Tsugaru Strait. The specially ordered dishes, such as grilled amberjack collar, abalone sashimi, squid sashimi, and scallop sashimi, were especially delicious.

Zao Shiki Hotel is one of the hotels with a wonderful open-air bath in Zao Onsen. At the restaurant, you can enjoy the Zao Mountain Kaizen meal, which comes with two main dishes: delicious Yamagata beef miso steak and Yamagata beef teppanyaki. You can enjoy the independent guest cottages-air bath while gazing at the Breathtaking view view of the large bath with weak alkaline mineral springs and the majestic mountain range, and savor the milky white natural hot spring water at the "Hanareyu Hyakuhachiho (meaning 108 steps from the hotel)."

onsen(hot spring) at Sounkyo onsen(hot spring) Choyotei is truly worthy of being called a hidden hot spring. From the rock-built open-air bath, you can enjoy Breathtaking view of the Sounkyo mountains and their rocky surfaces up close. In addition, the large windows in the large bath overlook the surface of Mount Kurodake in the Daisetsu mountain range, allowing you to enjoy seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves and snow-covered landscapes. After onsen(hot spring), the whole family will be very satisfied with the dinner buffet, which includes sushi, steak, and tempura cooked right before your eyes.

Located about a 15-minute walk from the south exit of JR Kofu Station, this hotel is conveniently located and reasonably priced. It is also a clean hotel with rooms for three people. It is close to Yamanashi Station and easy to get to wineries, and is also recommended for its easy access to wineries at Isawa Onsen Station.

Ryokan (Japanese inn) is also famous for being the family home of singer Mariya Takeuchi. Even without that, I think it is one of the most famous Ryokan in Izumo. It is a 4-minute walk from Izumo Taisha Station, and is conveniently located right next to Izumo Taisha Shrine. This long-established Ryokan has a charming atmosphere and a sense of Japanese history. Although it is an old Ryokan, it has been renovated, and the rooms and the building are well-cleaned and clean. The food is Japanese-style, visually gorgeous, and delicious.

Located close to Narita Airport, International Resort Hotel Yurakujo is a onsen(hot spring) resort that recreates the atmosphere of a gorgeous castle town. Inside the hotel, you can enjoy onsen(hot spring), a wide variety of meals, and performances such as music and dance, all while wearing a yukata. Due to its location near Narita Airport, the hotel is frequented by many foreign guests, so you can be sure that the staff will be happy to assist you. Despite its reasonable price, the rooms are modern and fully equipped.

We had a wonderful view of the mountains from our Japanese-style room. open-air bath with the trees in front of you gave us the feeling of forest bathing, which was great. As it is part of the Oedo hot spring group, the buffet was very substantial. There was a wide variety of Japanese, Western, Chinese and sweets on the menu. The tempura was freshly fried in the live kitchen, and the steaks were also freshly grilled, which was very satisfying. Being able to choose the color of the yukata was also a nice service. There are also playful elements to this inn, so it's a fun place to stay.

Located next to JR Izumo Station and Ichibata Electric Railway, it is very convenient for sightseeing in the city, such as Izumo Taisha Shrine, Hinomisaki Lighthouse, Izumo hot spring, Izumo Winery (free wine tasting & free souvenir tasting). The hotel offers a lake view while soaking in Matsue Shinjiko hot spring. If you use this hotel as a base for heading towards Matsue, we recommend Tamatsukuri Onsen, Lake Shinji, Yaegaki Shrine, Matsue Castle, and Lafcadio Hearn's former residence.

The mixed onsen(hot spring) water from Owakudani and Sounzan has excellent heat retention and is known as a "water that lasts for a long time" because it doesn't cool down easily, allowing you to experience the true joy of Japanese onsen(hot spring).
