While the sunset isn't directly visible from the hotel (it's on the opposite side of the lake), it's only about a 10-minute drive away, and there seem to be buses available. The next day, I took a Lake Shinji cruise, and gliding across the lake with the wind in my hair was an incredibly refreshing experience!
